Have a chat with one of our Design Consultants where they will ask you questions in order to provide you with the best home design for your unique needs and to fit your budget. A site visit to your section allows us to get a real feel for your new destination and capture any detail required in design. No section yet? Don’t worry-we are well connected and can help find you the ideal site for your new build.

Our designers work alongside our architectural team to create a concept plan to best suit your brief. Once you are happy with your concept, we can give you an estimate based on our conversations so far, including the type of finish and size of the home, as well as your site conditions.

So that an accurate price can be prepared, we submit your concept to formal drafting, to provide detailed drawings for our Quantity Surveyor. We introduce you to our supply partners so you can begin your decision making process around the finishes in your home. Your individual taste, wants and needs will influence the final price of your new build and we want your home to represent your choices, not ours.

When we have all the necessary information, we can provide you with an accurate price for your new home, presented with a detailed specification and accurate, detailed plans.

A comprehensive contract pack is prepared for you, including Masterbuild Guarantee, Building Insurance, and a schedule of payments for you and your bank. Once signed, we prepare for council whilst you finalise your colour choices with our interior designers, who make sure it all comes together just the way you want!

Once Building Consent is approved, you meet with our production team and your design consultant to allow a seamless transition between design and build. Our production team will start the build and manage the entire process for you. You can watch the progress, and track all the detail via the Buildertrend web-based platform, complete with a schedule and photos every step of the way!

Here at Benchmark Homes we offer a fully immersive virtual reality service to our clients. As a ‘Design and Build Company’ we think this offers a better way to visualise plans and are proud to be one of the only residential home builders in NZ providing this as a service.
What is Virtual Reality?
Virtual reality is a technology which creates a simulated – computer generated environment. But unlike traditional computer graphics VR places the user inside the experience instead of looking at the experience through a screen. Modern VR technology is able to simulate sight, sound, touch and movement in the virtual world making the experience truly immersive and engaging.
